What's this? A new page of the tutorial? But it hasn't been five months yet!

This is the page I've been looking forward to the most: the explanation of why Blossom has been in a swimsuit this whole time. If you know anything about drawing anatomy, you might have guessed something like this was coming. Drawing the body properly means paying attention to the proportions. The body of a cartoon character is typically measured by how many heads tall it is, and it is typically divided into two sections: the upper body, and the lower body (or legs). Having Blossom in her swimsuit was the most sensible way I could think of to portray the ratio of her upper- to lower-body heights—of course, I could have put her in her underwear, but I don't think she would have agreed to that. ;p

Anyway, when drawing the puff body, it's a good idea to mark off the standard length so you get familiar with how tall your character should be. Pick a length that suits you the most; the taller Blossom is, the older she's going to look. But always keep the upper-to-lower ratio fairly consistent. If the legs get too short, she tends to look less realistic; same thing if the legs get too long. That is, unless you're drawing an action (stretched) pose; that is an example of when to break the rules, which will be discussed soon. :aww:

Well, what do you think? Should I let Blossom change into her regular clothes now, or keep her in her swimsuit a while longer? ;p

Inside Phineas and Ferb references are awesome.
